Roger Eaton, President of CCI. Here I am, calling for your help. Join us! Ask what you can do.
Patricia Rowuin, Secretary of CCI and Editor of our CCI newsletter.
From the beginning of time, man and woman has had the need to communicate with one another. Cave paintings told stories of great events. The use of art continued to tell stories for centuries.
Today it is easier to communicate. Take a look around, computers, cell phones, fax machines to name a few. Letters from children around the world who are pen pals. The list goes on and on, but you get the picture.
As your editor, it is my hope to keep an open dialogue between the people on the Web page and people who read our newsletter. So let's start communicating. We would love to hear from you!!!
Francisco J. Lopez, CCI Treasurer and member of
the Board.
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay - South America. Resided in Toronto - Canada from 1972 -1982 where I became a Canadian Citizen. Moved to Southern California in 1982 where I currently reside. Have been in the Travel Industry since 1983, holding positions with different airlines and currently working for Princess Cruises for the last 8 years as Supervisor of Air Ticketing. Married with two children. I enjoy all kinds of sports, specially soccer and ice hockey. |
Tim Gordon, member of CCI Board, technical advisor for intermix.org, computer games hobbyist and computer network technician at Princess Cruises. Tim lives in the Valley now. |
Jean Shmitka, member of CCI Board, family keeper in the San Fernando Valley and spread sheet juggler at our favorite cruise company. If your flight is full and you are bumped so you miss your vacation on the loveboat in the Med, you can blame Jean for not ordering up enough planes. |
Joseph Simpson, member of the CCI Board.
Hi my name is Joseph Simpson. I am a Foster Parent, I have been a foster parent for fifteen years or so, about as long as I have been on the Board of CCI. I am also system computer operator, I have over twenty years of experience in the field of data processing. I am working for State Farmers Insurance Company as a system operator. |
Ronald van Ammers, member of CCI Board.
Ronald was born in Holland and came to Los Angeles with his family when he was 11 by way of Curacao. He graduated Marshall High back in the 60's and did the hippie thing for a while in Venice (LA) and Mexico. He works at Princess Cruises as a computer programmer. He lives in Silverlake with his wife Phyl, who, not coincidentally, also graduated Marshall High.
Cheryl Wilson, member
of CCI Board.
Cheryl, better known as "Mom" to Chris the aspiring artist and Robert the runner, keeps the books for our favorite cruise company. When not running from general ledger to the grocery store, Cheryl's time is spent with her boys and soon to be permanent better half, or experimenting on how to get the best results from the latest batch of fertilizer. Is there anyone out there with some gardening tips? |
Debra Lee Andre, a friend of the CCI Board. Debra also works in the air department at Princess Cruises. We got the air department covered! The card Debra wears around her neck is the Princess Cruises shackle. |

Tricia Fry has been a major help directing our PR effort. She has a great sense of what is possible and when to go with it. Steve Lockwood is a friend of Tricia's and we are delighted and honored (really) to host the jazz offerings of the Steve Lockwood Ensemble here. |
